The 2026 annual competition is hosted this year by BoilerBots, a recognized student organization at Purdue University.
ARCC is kicking off its first year as an independent competition from RoboMaster, and we're very excited to kick it off with Season One.

Competition Overview

3v3 Competition

In the 3v3 competition, teams contest the central Capture Point, represented by the green crown on the field floor. When robots occupy the Capture Point, it scores one Victory Point for their team each second, while eliminating an enemy robot gains 20 Victory Points. Once a team reaches 200 Victory Points or the round runs out of time, the team with the higher Victory Points wins.

Engineering Challenge

In the Engineer Challenge, teams compete to achieve the most points in the least time. Engineers pick up Ore Cubes from Resource Island and then deposit them into the three Exchange Stations across the field. Before the challenge, each Exchange Station is set to a random orientation within defined limits to increase the challenge between each receptacle. The higher the difficulty of the Exchange Station, the more points the team receives.

1v1 Competition

In the 1v1 competition, teams fight to be the last robot standing, eliminating their enemy before they get eliminated. Each team has a limited number of times they may fire, meaning that wasting ammo can come at a high cost. Robots start in opposing Starting Zones while using the Central Obstacles to hide from enemy fire, and peek around to deal their own damage. Should there be a tie, robot weight is considered as the tiebreaker.
